Paramount Group’s Matador, Marauder and Maverick are currently the only armoured vehicles in the 15-ton class with protection against .50 calibre API (12.7mm) or Dragunov armour-piercing rounds as a baseline, while offering a payload of 5,000kg.

More importantly, the Matador and Marauder come with superior mine protection as standard.

 

Carrying a crew of ten (8 + 2) in highly demanding urban and outdoor environments, the Marauder offers state-of-the-art mine and ballistic protection in a vehicle with a kerb weight under 10 tons (9,800 kg). Its V-shaped hull deflects the blast of a landmine detonated under the vehicle: Marauder can withstand the blast of a double anti-tank mine, with 14 kg of TNT, under any wheel. Marauder will also withstand the blast from a single anti-tank mine, loaded with 7 kg TNT, while providing unrivalled crew protection. This is equivalent to NATO’s Standardization Agreement (STANAG) 4569 Level 3b and 4a.

With its clean lines, unique double-skinned monocoque structure and V-shaped hull, Matador – Paramount’s flagship MPV – provides unsurpassed protection for a vehicle in this class. Matador was conceived for long-range autonomous military or peacekeeping operations in environments ranging from desert to jungle, and carries a crew of 12 + 2. It will protect occupants from a detonation of 21 kg TNT under any wheel or 14 kg of TNT detonated anywhere under the vehicle, without hull rupture. The accelerations and moments measured on occupants at these blast levels are below maximum threshold values defined in NATO’s STANAG 4569 at Level IV.

Master of the urban environment, Maverick is the ideal vehicle for use by internal security, police and correctional services. Highly versatile and with exceptional ballistic and side-blast protection for its crew of 12 (10 plus driver and co-driver), Maverick is agile and manoeuvrable with excellent visibility. That means great situational awareness for the crew whether operating in urban or rural settings. Protection comes from Maverick’s unique integrated double-skin monocoque structure, with the floor withstanding most shrapnel munitions (hand grenades, firebombs). In its public order role Maverick gives its crew spaced-armour all-round protection from kinetic energy projectiles and IEDs, equivalent to NATO’s STANAG 4569 Level III.

Maintaining Mirage
Paramount Group, in partnership with Aerosud, has the world’s largest holding of Mirage F1 spare parts and offers a comprehensive repair, maintenance and upgrade service to nations operating and updating their Mirage F1 fleet. Paramount and Aerosud have pioneered the successful integration into a Mirage F1 airframe of a Russian SMR95 (MIG29) powerplant.
