INTERNATIONAL PARTNERSHIPS

Paramount Group, established in 1994, leads the way in the international peacekeeping, defence and internal security sectors.

It is a global company headquartered in South Africa and prides itself on driving innovation in the design and development of state of the art technologies which it manufactures throughout the world. Paramount is also a major shareholder in Aerosud, one of southern Africa’s largest aeronautical engineering businesses.

In 2007, Paramount launched the highly advanced Marauder and Matador mine-protected vehicles which offer the highest levels of ballistic and mine blast protection – the iconic V-shaped hulls which are an important feature of the vehicles are acknowledged as a South African innovation. The Maverick, which was unveiled the following year, utilises similar technology but is designed primarily to handle the demands of internal security and policing.

The Group offers a myriad of defence and peacekeeping solutions, ranging from equipping and upgrading air and naval forces to the provision of personal protection gear. A major focus is also placed on various rehabilitation programmes in prisons.

Paramount recently announced its partnership with Ashok Leyland, the largest supplier of utility vehicles to the Indian Armed Forces, to produce the Stallion MPV, and is working closely with the governments of Jordan and Azerbaijan, harnessing the Group’s expertise to facilitate the transfer of world class technologies and helping build important new industrial and technological hubs in those regions.

Paramount’s agreement with the King Abdullah II Design Bureau (KADDB), Jordan’s primary governmental military agency, will establish a production facility in Jordan for the manufacture of Paramount’s Marauder, Matador and Maverick MPVs.
